Bowdoin College

Bowdoin College is a nationally renowned liberal art and science college in Northern Maine. It is the Alma Mater to many famous authors including Margaret Stowe, and the 14th president of the United States, Franklin Pierce. While visiting you will want to spend some time at Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum where you will learn about progressive movements on campus prior to the civil war, early expeditions and view Inuit art by famous artists. Downtown Brunswick

Be sure to spend some time in the Downtown Brunswick. This area is rich in history and is the center of all of the action. There are small shops and boutiques where you'll find the perfect gift. When you are hungry stop into one of the local cafes for a bite to eat or stop by the coffee shop or pub for your favorite beverage. Unwind on the Sea with a sailing adventure. You can choose from a 2 hour, 1/2 day, full day and island adventure trip Sea Escape Charters. You'll be able to sit back and relax or if you like you can assist with managing the sails. During the sail, you'll learn about the area from the local captains.
